Penguins rescued at the Oiled Wildlife Centre in Tauranga

A picture shows some of the penguins rescued at the Oiled Wildlife Centre in Tauranga on October 14, 2011 following the oil spill from the stricken container ship Rena. Salvage crews raced to stop more oil from seeping from the stricken Rena, which threatens to break in two after hitting a reef last week. Up to 700 tonnes of oil has leaked from the vessel, creating a black tide that has killed hundreds of sea birds.
